Reference & Research Help

Get research assistance, locate books or articles, get technology support (Canvas, Zoom, etc), or get help with something else.  

Make an appointment with a librarian. For SC, use Appointment Assistant. For GC, email gclibrary@sheridan.edu.  

 

Tutoring (SC Only)

Tutoring is available for many courses - in person with some sessions taking place via Zoom.

Instruction

If your class has a research component, a librarian would love to create online research and instruction support for your students.

Subject Guides

There are Research Guides in a tab on the library homepage, that are helpful for beginning research, finding online tools for faculty, and writing and citation help.

HelpZone (GC Only)

Don’t know where to ask your question? HelpZone can get you to the right person to answer your question.  Students can get help with Canvas, email, Microsoft Office, Zoom, etc. Make an appointment, email your question to gc-helpzone@sheridan.edu, or drop in during live hours.

Hours are subject to change due to summer vacation. Please refer to the library hours and scheduled closures posted on the home page and call the library if you are unsure about what resources are presently available to you.

         

 

For Live Help 

Connect in your Canvas dashboard under the Help menu.  Select Student HelpZone and open the Zoom icon. Or sign in to MyNWCCD, go to the main menu, look under Academic Life, select Student HelpZone and open the Zoom icon.  

Live hours are posted in the Zoom box on the library homepage and are listed on the Student HelpZone page in MyNWCCD.  

Writing Center (SC Only)

The Sheridan College Writing Center is open for in-person and Zoom appointments.

 

Visit Kooi Library or schedule an appointment through Appointment Assistant. For questions, contact Tyler Julian at tjulian@sheridan.edu.

 

We are closed for the summer but will resume our regularly scheduled hours at the start of the Fall Semester. For writing help during the summer, visit Kooi Library.
